Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that Uber’s license will not be renewed in London because the company (Uber) is unfit and not proper to operate in the city according to London transport authority. The London transport authority made the statement on Friday, September 22, 2017 accusing Uber of its poor approach to reporting serious criminal offences and that the company’s software prevented regulators and law enforcement from monitoring its app. Sadiq Khan, the London mayor also supported the decision of not renewing Uber’s license. The American firm (Uber) whose license will expire on September 30, 2017 said that the company will challenge the decision in the court. If the decision of not renewing Uber license stands, about 40,000 licensed Uber drivers in London will be jobless. Uber has been in controversies in major cities of the world over passenger safety, driver’s pay and background checks. The American company (Uber) operates in about 700 cities around the globe.
