Those who planned and removed the military regime of Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon in the 80s are the real enemies of Nigeria. We (Viewers Corner News team) are saying so because when president Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon came to power in the 80s based on the facts, their aim was to rebuild the country (Nigeria) and make it great for everyone which the democratic government of ex-president Shehu Shagari had destroyed. Ex-president Shehu Shagari’s government was very corrupt just like Peoples Democratic party’s (P.D.P) government led by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan in the past. As at that time, both foreign currencies and the Nigeria currency (Naira) were all hidden in water tanks by Nigerian politicians and also in various places which Buhari’s military regime took control of by changing Nigerian currency (Naira) notes within a short period of time, a beautiful plan and great achievement so that those who had billions stocked in their various water tanks and farm houses while millions of Nigerians were suffering would not be able to use them anymore. Then anyone who returned certain huge amount of money to any bank in Nigeria would be called upon to give account of how he or she came about with such huge sum of money and why it was not kept in the bank. It was nice then because those who thought that no one in Nigeria would ever arrest them because of their connections were thrown into jail by Buhari’s military government and part of the reason or reasons were corruption related issues, recklessness and careless spending of government funds. Some politicians those days while celebrating their children’s birthday party went to France in Europe to have the names of those children printed on the bottle of the red wine drink which they shared in the party. This should be regarded as economic waste while majority of Nigerians could not afford three meals a day. President Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon had vision and wanted to make Nigeria great which president Buhari’s present administration is trying to do but the corrupt lawmakers and the judiciary in Nigeria are playing games with his government because of democracy. History also told us that during Buhari’s military regime, a corrupt Nigerian politician who served as a governor in Lagos state (Nigeria) during the democratic period donated 15 million Naira to his political party. He was arrested then to explain why he had to do so because it was believed that such amount of money might have come from the government treasury. This showed how sincere Buhari and the late Tunde Idiagbon wanted to get corruption eradicated in the country (Nigeria) which was great. Again during ex-president Goodluck Jonathan re-election campaign, a sitting governor in Nigeria donated 5 billion Naira to assist ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to win his mandate in 2015 which he lost and Nigerians are not talking about it. Where did an individual get such huge amount of money which he donated for campaign purposes alone? Certainly from government treasury and those who should not have been in various ministries as ministers during ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s government were appointed and corruption became the name of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s government which led to the situation Nigeria is at the moment. We (Viewers Corner News team) want to remind our numerous readers worldwide that no government would function properly without adequate funds which is the problem facing Nigeria today. When the price of petroleum product was at 120 dollars per barrel, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and his corrupt team failed to do what was right for the country (Nigeria). Those who (Ibrahim Babangida and his team) removed the military regime of Buhari and late Tunde Idiagbon of the 80s are enemies of Nigeria and now they are talking about restructuring the country (Nigeria). This group of people have no vision for the country (Nigeria). Nigeria as a nation has leadership problems and not restructuring problem because if you restructure as is being said by some people in Nigeria, the same problem will still be there. What Nigeria as a nation needs right now is leadership that can implement and truly enforce the laws of the country (Nigeria) without any form of manipulations from politicians. The rule of laws should be obeyed and respected. If this aspect is properly handled, corruption and other negative activities within the country (Nigeria) will surely be eradicated or reduced to the lowest level. This is because anyone caught disobeying the law of the land no matter the status or political affiliations, knows the price to pay but now the politicians and the judiciary of Nigeria are playing dirty on issues of the law which is bad. For the country (Nigeria) to move forward, Nigeria needs a leadership which can implement and truly enforce the laws of the land. Believe it or not, that is the truth.
