Now the latest tricks governor David Umahi is using to enable him get the proposed 150 million dollar loan from those development banks is to give money to all the local government chairmen in Ebonyi state who he (governor David Umahi) personally installed to various offices to come out with people from their communities to support his (governor David Umahi) government so that those officials from these African development bank and the Islamic development banks who are visiting Ebonyi state on assessment tour would know that he is well liked in Ebonyi state and everyone is comfortable which various communities in Ebonyi state did recently in Abakiliki (the state capital). But the truth is that those rallies organized in Abakaliki in Ebonyi state were fake, it was just to deceive those bank officials that all is well in the state so that governor David Umahi can get his 150 million dollar loan. Part of the money which he (governor David Umahi) received in the past would have been more than enough to clear all the arrears of workers in Ebonyi state and the remaining part to implement viable projects in the state but up till now, that was not done. Sometime ago, an NGO revealed that the number of youths of Ebonyi state hawking and trading on different items in various cities across the country (Nigeria) is highest compared to other youths from other states in Nigeria and in Lagos state, over 180 youths from Ebonyi state were arrested recently on this terrible way of making a living instead of being in the school. Somehow it is not the fault of those youths because they are only hawking to make a living, sincerely the blame should go to governor David Umahi and his government who has refused to empower the youths of Ebonyi state.
