A HIGH COURT IN OSOGBO (OSUN STATE, NIGERIA) THAT SENTENCED ONE MR. KAYODE ADEDEJI TO DEATH FOR ROBBING A WOMAN OF HER 3,400 NAIRA SOMETIME AGO PERHAPS ON GUN POINT WAS ONLY ENFORCING THE LAW OF THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA). PLEASE EXTEND APPROPRIATE LAWS TO NIGERIAN LOOTERS.

Viewers Corner News team is re-visiting this issue again, it was alleged that a high court in Osun state (Nigeria) sentenced a man to death for robbing a woman about 3,400 Naira (three thousand, four hundred Naira). To an extent, we (Viewers Corner News team) can understand why the high court in Osun state (Nigeria) did so perhaps the high court was trying to enforce the law of the country (Nigeria) which says that if anyone is caught robbing anyone with any deadly weapon, the verdict would be death sentence. That is quite alright but our concern here is that those Nigerian judges are only enforcing the laws on the poor ones in Nigeria which is bad. We (Viewers Corner News team) have written articles on topics which has to do with Nigerian laws not being respected and obeyed by the people of the country (Nigeria) which is the major problem facing Nigeria today. Therefore if we found any court of law implementing the laws, we are always overwhelmed but the issue here is that the laws of Nigeria is not being extended to reach those big names in Nigeria who use their pens to loot and destroy Nigeria just like the armed robber uses his gun to obtain various items by force. Most of the people our correspondent spoke with in Nigeria concerning the decision of the high court in Osogbo (Osun state in Nigeria) which handed down the death sentence to Mr Kayode Adedeji were angry about the decision of the court but they should also understand that the law court was only doing her job as the law specified. Again before reaching such decision, the high court in Osogbo (Osun state in Nigeria) may have considered various aspects. However we would use this opportunity to plead with various law courts in Nigeria to honestly do their jobs as it should be done without the big names in Nigeria manipulating them to buy justice with their stolen wealth. The law which convicts the ordinary person should also be applied to the big names if they are found guilty too. Equality of persons before the law should be the priority of every judge.
