Federer surpasses William Renshaw and Pete Sampras, who won their seventh titles in 1889 and 2000 respectively, with only Martina Navratilova (nine titles) still ahead of him in terms of Wimbledon singles titles. In this tournament, Roger Federer played his 11th Wimbledon final while this is Cilic first. Congratulations to Roger Federer.
