Lufthansa group was hit by a 15-hour strike on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 and hundreds of flights were cancelled. According to the information our correspondent gathered, pilots of all short-haul and long-haul flights out of Germany embarked on 15-hour strike on Tuesday, causing 876 of 3,000 Lufthansa Group flights to be cancelled. The strike was caused by a dispute over pay and the Cockpit union has been asking for a 3.66 percent yearly raise for a period of 5 ½ years but Lufthansa called the union’s position absolutely incomprehensible according to report. This strike has affected about 100,000 passengers.
