IRAN TO SIGN A 6 BILLION DOLLAR DEAL ON GAS PRODUCTION WITH FRANCE’S TOTAL.

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that Iran will sign a contract with France’s Total for the development of gas production at a major offshore field in the Gulf. The information was made known to the public by the Iranian oil ministry on Monday, November 7, 2016. The deal which marks the return of Total to Iran involves a consortium led by Total including the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and Iran’s Petropars. It is also the first contract on gas production Iran will have with a Western petroleum company after the country’s nuclear agreement with world powers took effect in January which lifted some international sanctions.
