This is the most terrible statement that the Viewers Corner News team has heard in a while, coming out of the mouth of a commissioner of police in Nigeria. We want to inform and educate the police commissioner in Zamfara State in Nigeria, that when a government of a country is not performing well as expected by the citizens, it becomes the responsibility of the citizens of that country in question to carry out a peaceful protest to let the government understand that things are getting out of hand and can no longer be tolerated. So calling Nigerians who are passing through severe economic hardship criminals because they want to stage a peaceful protest is unacceptable, and we condemn such an ugly remark. Again, such a police officer is not supposed to be in a position of authority in Nigeria. We are calling on the senior police officer to be guided in his choice of words. Nigerians have every right to protest when it is necessary to do so because the constitution of Nigeria gives them the right and no one can stop them.
