ex-governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State

Did ex-governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State join the APC to escape giving an account of the over 190 billion naira debt he left behind for the newly elected governor to carry?

Information has it that ex-governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State is now a member of the All Progressives Congress. People are also saying that he joined the All Progressives Congress to escape being investigated for the destruction he brought upon Abia State when he was the governor of that state. Now he is serving as a senator in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Like we wrote in our previous articles, ex-governor Okezie Ikpeazu was one of Nigeria’s most corrupt governors. He left behind over 190 billion naira in debt for the newly elected governor, Dr. Otti, to carry. The point here is that when the Viewers Corner News team took a working tour in Abia State, we were unable to identify where such a huge amount of money was invested in the state. Meaning that ex-governor Okezie Ikpeazu and his corrupt group may have stolen the money, thereby putting his state into severe debt. However, the newly elected governor, Dr. Otti, has said that no matter the political party Mr. Ikpeazu runs to, he will in no time be called upon to explain how such huge sums of money were spent. This would be great if it were carried out, and it would also serve as a lesson to others. Again, as a leader, you should use the resources of your state to better the lives of the people. It should not be looted.
