Code of Conduct Bureau

The Constitution of Nigeria mandates public officials in the country to declare their assets before and after leaving office.

Information reaching the Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja revealed that the Code of Conduct Bureau of Nigeria has warned that no elected official shall be sworn into office unless he or she has publicly declared his or her assets. So if you are an elected official, hurry now to the office of the Code of Conduct Bureau in your state and fill out the necessary declaration forms. This is mandatory. Again, the Viewers Corner News team pleads with all the elected officials to sincerely do their declarations properly. If you declare falsely, the law will catch up with you in no time. The new government that will be installed has already stated that the time to build a new Nigeria has come, a situation where laws will be fully implemented. So no matter your status in Nigeria, if you go against the law of the land, you shall go in for it. So do the right thing now to avoid a situation where, if I had known, I would have done things differently.
