Ahmad Lawan

One does not need to be a Lawyer, a Judge or a Judiciary worker to know that the Supreme court of Nigeria has brought disgrace to the Bench they occupy.

The decision of the Supreme court of Nigeria is final, but the recent decision on issue between senator Ahmed Lawan and Bashir Machina is not right in our opinion. According to the law of Nigeria concerning election issues, how can the Supreme court of Nigeria declare senator Ahmed Lawan, who did not participate in the senatorial primary of his political party a winner of the senatorial primary of his party? The same with Godswill Akpabio. The Viewers Corner News team has checked properly to know if senator Ahmed Lawan bought both presidential and senatorial tickets of his political party or participated in the senatorial primary election. In line with the laws of Nigeria on election matters, participating in the primary of the presidential election of his political party automatically disqualifies him from taking part in the senatorial primary. One is only allowed to take part in one race at a given time. So how come the Supreme court of Nigeria declared senator Ahmed Lawan the winner, instead of the right candidate (Machina) who bought the Yobe senatorial ticket, participated in the political party’s primary election and won? This is the worst primary election puzzle which we are yet to unravel. Those Judges at the Supreme court of Nigeria who took such unrealistic and manipulative decisions should always remember that a higher force bigger than them is watching. The Judges might have done such because of certain inducements, but God has the final say and shall take a decision at the appropriate time. Perhaps when those that took such unrealistic decisions may have forgotten the evil committed against the rightful winner of the senatorial primary of his political party.
