The violent protest in Democratic Republic Of Congo has killed about 17 people in the recent showdown. Our source in DR. of Congo told us that the protests are being staged across the country because the way things are going now shows that president Joseph Kabila who should step down by December 2016 and hand over power as the constitution of the country demands has concluded plans to remain in office forever. Normally general election is supposed to be held in November 2016 but there are no signs that such would happen, this has been the main reason the opposition and their supporters are protesting in the country. Also our source said that the protest should be seen as a message to president Joseph Kabila so that he can allow the election to be held as planned, if not they would not stop the protest and in December he must step down as the constitution demands. We have written articles in the past concerning this issue pleading with president Joseph Kabila to do the right thing by handing over power as the constitution of the country (DR.of Congo) demands. This attitude is also happening in most African countries where a president would complete his tenure of office and refuse to leave as required by the constitution of their various countries, this is a slap on the face of the constitution. Now in DR. of Congo, lots of lives have already been lost since the recent protests started, Viewers Corner News and the advisory team is appealing to the United Nations and other peace loving countries of the world to kindly mediate in the conflict between the opposition and the ruling party in DR. of Congo before things gets out of hand. That country can not afford another war anymore because they have suffered so much in the past when they were fighting different tribal wars. We expect them by now to have learnt from their past mistakes that wars can only bring destruction in the country (DR. of Congo). Please president Joseph Kabila, do the right thing and save the innocent people of your country from hardship and destruction.
