Many great people from the southeast are qualified to lead Nigeria, assuming the presidency is zoned to the southeast. These two men from the southeast have been tested in every aspect of leadership, and they can fix the economy of Nigeria properly if allowed to lead the country. They had declared their intentions to lead Nigeria. Our findings revealed that governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state is not leading his people well. He managed to build flyovers in Abakaliki, the state capital of Ebonyi state. Those flyovers are not needed in Abakaliki, considering how small the city is. The money spent on constructing those flyovers should have been used for vital projects that would benefit the people of Ebonyi state. Flyovers are mainly built to ease traffic in congested areas. These days, most governors have resorted to building flyovers in their states instead of empowering the people of their various states. In Ebonyi state, workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances are not adequately paid. Education is neglected. Ordinary water for people to drink is hard to get under Governor David Umahi and many more. So how can such a governor lead a whole country while he can not take care of the people of his state? Then coming to ex-senate president Anyim Pius Anyim, when he was in power, intimidation of political opponents was huge. He only worked for himself and a few associates. Now he is coming to ask the people of Nigeria to give him a chance to lead the country. In our opinion, he is not the right man for the job. Senator Orji Uzo Kalu, while in office as the governor of Abia state did not do much, despite the enormous allocations Abia state received monthly, including the internally generated revenue. He is among the worst ex-governors in Nigeria. During his tenure, the salaries of workers and pensioners’ allowances were not adequately paid. Corruption was massive during his tenure as the governor of Abia state. So how can he say he is the best-qualified person to lead Nigeria? The people of Nigeria should check the report cards of these politicians and decide if they are qualified to lead the country. Some of these politicians, including those we mentioned here, are only coming to enrich themselves and not to work for the country’s development, which is the truth. Take it or leave it. Nigeria needs a president who would carry all the people of the country along and fix the economy of Nigeria where employment for all will be his priority.
