Mr. Ledell Lee, a young man in Arkansas (United States of America) was wrongfully convicted and executed for killing a 26-year-old Debra Reese in Jacksonville, Ark, a suburb of Little Rock in the United States of America according to Viewers Corner News correspondent. Fortunately, the executed man’s sister, Miss Patricia Young, who believes that her brother would not have committed such a horrible crime started fighting to get the truth and justice for her late brother. Following a series of tests, it was allegedly discovered through DNA that the weapon used to carry out the attack that killed Debra Reese was another man’s DNA. Meaning that Mr. Ledell Lee was wrongfully convicted and executed for a crime he was innocent of. What a waste. How can those that killed Mr. Ledell Lee bring back his life? He is gone forever, which is painful. The late Mr. Ledell Lee maintained his innocence up to the last moment of his life. According to Viewers Corner News correspondent, he kept insisting that he was not guilty of the crime. This is the reason the Viewers Corner News team is against death sentences of any sort, because most people executed might actually not be the ones that committed the offences they were accused of. It could be that they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The United States of America should abolish the death sentence, instead let it be life in jail. If Mr. Ledell Lee had been sentenced to life in jail, perhaps as new evidence emerges, he would have been a free man by now. It was very unfortunate and sad for the family of the late Mr. Ledell Lee.
