MORE THAN TWELVE MILLION UNITED STATES VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED OVER TAKATA AIR BAGS DEFECT.

Viewers Corner’s correspondent in New York learnt that about 12 million vehicles from United States have been recalled by the automakers due to defective  Takata air bags. According to report from U.S. government regulators, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCHA.MI) is recalling 4.3 million vehicles while Honda Motor Co (7267.T) is recalling 4.5 million U.S. vehicles. Earlier this month (May 2016), Japan’s Takata accepted to declare about 40 million inflators defective by 2019 and this has pushed 17 automakers to issue vehicle recalls.
