THE FORMER CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF, AIR MARSHAL ALEX BADEH HAS BEEN GRANTED BAIL OF TWO BILLION NAIRA BY ABUJA FEDERAL HIGH COURT.

Viewers Corner’s correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) learnt that the former Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh (retd) has been granted bail on Thursday, March 10, 2016 by Justice Okon Abang of Abuja Federal High Court. According to report, he was granted bail to the tune of two billion Naira (N2 billion) and he will provide two sureties who will guarantee the bail with the sum of one billion Naira each (N1 billion). The surties must have landed assets in any part of Abuja which the certificates of occupancy of the property will be submitted to the court. Also Alex Badeh was ordered by Justice Okon Abang to submit his blue and green passports to the court and they will be in court’s custody throughout the period of his trial. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission accused Alex Badeh of diverting about 3.97 billion Naira belonging to Nigerian Air Force between January and December 2013 with a company named Iyalikam Nigeria Limited.
