Viewers Corner was informed that about 46 civilians lost their lives and over 100 wounded in the double car bombs which hit the Al-Zahraa district (Syria’s central city of Homs) on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Homs is controlled by the Syrian government and Al-Zahraa residents are mostly Alawites (the minority sect of Syria’s ruling clan including President Bashar al-Assad). The UN-led international talks on how to end the Syria civil war collapsed earlier this month in Geneva and the resumption date has been postponed to an unspecified future date. May the souls of those that lost their lives in these bomb blasts rest in peace.
