The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh who was taken to the court in handcuffs from Kuje prison for his bail hearing on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 has been granted bail by the Abuja Federal High Court (Nigeria). He was granted bail on the conditions that he will pay N400 million as bond, submit his international passport and also he must provide two sureties with N200 million each. The sureties must have properties in Maitama district of Abuja and Justice Okon Abang also ruled that the sureties must produce the certificates of occupancy of the property which must be verified by the Chief Registrar of the court and confirmed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Chief Olisa Metuh was accused of receiving N400 million from an arms procurement fund which was diverted by Sambo Dasuki, the Nigeria former National Security Adviser.
