THOSE NIGERIANS SUGGESTING THAT EX-PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN SHOULD VIE FOR 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION ARE ENEMIES OF PROGRESS.

Information reaching Viewers Corner News from our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed that some individuals in Nigeria are suggesting that ex-president Goodluck Jonathan should contest for 2023 presidential election because his government was better than president Buhari’s administration. We (Viewers Corner News team) ask those suggesting this unthinkable, how can ex-president Goodluck Jonathan come back to vie for 2023 presidential election? Is he coming back because he did a good job in the past or what? Now hear this; ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in the past was one of the worst since Nigeria gained her independence from Britain in 1960. Corruption was huge when ex-president Goodluck Jonathan was in office and that has been the reason Nigeria as a country is unable to put things right till today. If ex-president Goodluck Jonathan had controlled corruption a bit, it would have been better for the country and when president Buhari’s government took over, they would have gotten a good starting point but all these were not there which is bad. During ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s era, the economy of the world was still buoyant compared to now that the world is facing series of problems which have affected every country of the world. If ex-president Goodluck Jonathan is still the president of Nigeria with the level of corruption in his government, by now the country (Nigeria) would have collapsed which is the truth. If you are among those suggesting that ex-president Goodluck Jonathan should vie for 2023 presidential election, you better end such thought in your mind because it is a very bad one. Again, if it were President Buhari of the 80s who has zero tolerance for corruption, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and his associates would have been in prison because of what they allegedly looted from the treasury of Nigeria. Look at Mrs Diezani Allison Madueke (ex-petroleum minister of Nigeria), this woman alone is richer than some countries of the world. She made her money under ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s government by looting the treasury of Nigeria. The same goes to Mr Sambo Dasuki who was the national security adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, who shared billions of dollars belonging to the people of Nigeria to members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). How then would anyone suggest to bring such a man like ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to come and contest for another election in Nigeria? Honestly, such suggestion does not make any sense and should be forgotten.
