SOME POLITICIANS IN NIGERIA ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS NO HARDSHIP IN THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA), PERHAPS AS A RESULT OF THEIR FAT EARNINGS FROM THE GOVERNMENT. TOO BAD.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) had the opportunity of speaking with some politicians in Nigeria on economic issues of the country (Nigeria). Some of them said that there is no much hardship in the country (Nigeria) and even if there is hardship in Nigeria, they said there is hardship everywhere in the world so Nigeria should not be singled out as the only country facing such problem which to an extent is the truth, but for such statement to have come out from someone who is in the position of authority and supposed to work for the betterment of all the people of the country (Nigeria), it shows that the welfare of the people of Nigeria does not matter much to such group of leaders because they are already getting more than enough from the government. We (Viewers Corner News team) found such statement completely bad. Now hear this; if there are good leaders in Nigeria taking into consideration the huge natural resources of the country (Nigeria), such great country would have been like Dubai. The country (Nigeria) is blessed with huge wealth but has zero leadership. Look at Dubai of today and Dubai in the past when they had no crude oil, then you can compare and imagine where Nigeria would have been today if the country has good leaders but because of corruption, greed and selfishness at the leadership level where only few individuals control the wealth of the country (Nigeria), it becomes impossible for the wealth to reach the ordinary people of Nigeria, hence there is poverty everywhere in the country (Nigeria). Again, if the leaders in Nigeria did what they supposed to do, there wouldn’t have been economic hardship which has also given rise to insecurity in the country (Nigeria). Therefore, those politicians who are saying that there is no much hardship in Nigeria should have their sources of information examined properly because as it is now, the economic hardship in Nigeria has reached an alarming stage. The leadership of Nigeria should kindly go back to the drawing table and figure out where they went wrong and put things right. End corruption and work for the the betterment of the people of the country (Nigeria).
