Luka Modric of Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder has won 2018 FIFA best player award, thereby ending Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo 10-year dominance. He (Luka Modric) defeated Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool on Monday in London’s Royal Festival Hall to win the award. Modric led his country (Croatia) to the World Cup final and claimed the Golden Ball at the World Cup.
He also helped Real Madrid to win Champions League. For the past ten years, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had each won the FIFA finest player five times.
